Beams seem to continue on to their max range even if fired at empty space between you and a target. Discovered this while testing ELF with Jim the other day, I was in a Drainer just inside of beam range of him and targeted empty space 30 GU infront of me with my non-ELF beams to bleed energy and he took damage as if I had targeted him directly. We repeated this twice more and both times he took damage even though I had targeted empty space between us and not him.

I have noticed that you sometimes see beam 'hit glow' past the area you have targeted, so I'm certain there's something to that effect going on here.
Could make blind firing a bit easier...

You can technically use lasers to blindfire. Just hit the Hotkey and use ctrl targetting to drag the beams around until the combat timer activates. Then unleash your torpedoes a little bit ahead of where the lasers were.

Quality of life suggestion:


Add an option to name fighters.

so, instead of F-29 XVIII..

F-29 Alpha XVIII
F-29 Buttkicker XVIII
F-29 Pwnmobile XVIII


You get the memo. Would make operating with multiple carriers way easier.

For some reason the AI transports are not actually trading/resupplying planets with resources even though there are 6-7 Planets filled with resources that are all set to export.

maybe obvious but...checked also if import is on? else they dont import. Also they tend not to take resources away from arid/oceanic/etc if the target planet where you want the resources to go, is low level like barren

I have turned import off on all planets except the SY planets. They are simply not importing to the planets.

No, just adding a unique identifier to each fighter we launch.

EG:

/fightername Poo

all fighters that launch from you get Poo indentifier -

F-29 Poo I
F-29 Poo II
F-29 Poo III


and so on.

Then your friend sets his fighters to Horse

F-29 Horse I
F-29 Horse II


So next time you're doing stuff together, no more *who's fighters are those?*
