OK I think Athena and Constellation are good enough, but the Achilles should be enlarged or reclassified to a frigate.
For example, the M-190 Combat Destroyer is only slightly smaller than a Heavy Cruiser:

That's because the ICC destroyers have had their size adjusted while the cruisers have not. They should not be that close - in fact, cruisers are supposed to be just shy of twice as large as destroyers.

Gerlach, that's just because the staff haven't gotten around to finishing the ship resizing. You'll see that the UGTO Destroyers are about Frigate-sized, too - it's because the staff got to ICC Destroyers and haven't gone on to the other ships yet.
The Cruisers are actually meant to look quite a lot larger than Destroyers. Compare ICC Carrier Cruiser to ICC Combat Destroyer for the correct intended scale.

Hmm, I don't think there was a need to resize them. If we bring a bit of reality here (again), modern destroyers are about the same size of WW2 cruisers, but it's your decision.

Sorry, no reality needed.
The lore says ships are X size, and now the models are being scaled to match that.

I recently switched jobs and just getting settled in, huge learning curve for new systems...
Once I am stable I will look at finishing fixing model scaling.

Long time since I've visited this thread.
Will be in Japan starting Friday for a coupla weeks on biz + leisure. Who knows... when I get back (and get some inspiration walking ard their Akihabara district looking at toys and Japanimation stuff) I might get inspiration for some snazzy ICC models or updates.

Heya folks. Been a long time.
Speaking of snazzy new stuff.... Some sneaks of a cruiser I've been slowing working on. Styling and all definitely inspired by what I saw in Japan.

Very nice. Reminds me a bit of the shiny Naboo crusiers.

Must be the 2 big-ass wing pods
Not very ICC-ish, you think?
Anyway.... there's an EVE starship design contest out there right now....
Mebbe I should use this instead.

Front reminds of a Mandible hull whereas the back reminds me of UGTO. I... don't think this would be an excellent ICC design as it seems more of a mix between those two.
Given what I've seen from said contest, I'd recommend joining that instead. Their current selection is... disturbing.

Wow. Front end reminds you of a Mandible.
LOL. I never thought of that. Maybe it's the curvature of the forward hull or the size. Hmm... looks like some tweaking is in order.
And yeah to the EVE contest. I'm conjuring up something in my head for that one.

well
I guess it wont be too bad if u won the contest with a DS influenced ship, then putting Darkspace as inspiration on a forum post or sumthing
but:
EVE will be looking for weird, unbalanced, tumorous, asymmetrical, weird, bottle neck, creepy, weird, disturbing, downright ugly designs.

I really like it, and I think it fits ICC perfectly, an advanced new cruiser prototype would more then likely have added hybrid tech reverse engineered from captured technology. Good model
