Wormhole

Wormholes are rips in the fabric of space that can be used to quickly travel between any 2 connected wormholes. Wormholes are only creatable by a Station with a Wormhole Device. Some wormholes exist in nature, but generally don't reach out beyond a single system.

In game, wormholes work just like Jump Gates.
