I jump from Farstay to Fargo, it used up to 3500 jump drones. Too far I think.

I suggest some planets in Tau ceti needs re-arrangement. Fargo, Tau cago, Areal, Ugo are nearly in a straight line with the sun. Jumping between them is difficult.

Tau Ceti needs to be narrow. It's too large.

Btw, the second sun doesn't work.

fargo to farstay, single jump. 37seconds jump time in an AD. 2235 fuel expended.
still only 37% of its tank, enough to get there and back again. cincinnati, bernards, eps ind, procyon are all similarly large systems with some number of planets you cant jump directly to from another planet. this is by design and not about to change.

I tested with SS. Maybe I didn't pay attention but it's down from 8000 to 4xxx

What's the purpose behind the design? :-/
Forget the length, how about the second sun and straight line? :| A bit to the left, a bit to the right just for convenient is acceptable, isn't it? Please ...

A Station jumpdrive, hilariously, consumes more fuel so that it offsets its larger fuel capacity.

I assume the design has to do with making it more annoying to quickly transport assistance from Farstay to Fargo Rock or similar; the lengthy jump time disallows immediate assisting and lends a boon to the Wormhole Device's immediate transport. (of course, given the latter's terrible accuracy it is almost never a suitable replacement for a good JD)

I have never felt it to be an issue, however.

Europe is too damned far from where I live. I wanna vacation there more often. But air tickets cost a bomb!

I hereby demand that God makes the Earth smaller so that my travel time n costs are greatly reduced!!

Do it nao!

Kenny's reductio ab ridicule is charming but unfortunately a logical fallacy. You can't draw comparisons because humans cannot control the distance between America and Europe and observe it as a sometimes inconvenient system.

The distances between two given points in the metaverse, however, are artificial and can be changed to suit people's needs at whims. The reason it is not changed is because DarkSpace development intentionally set the distances as they are and thus, we are left with nothing for it but to accept these distances as a truth.

Rather than offer non-constructive criticisms in the form of ridicule, perhaps it would behoove one to observe the stricter rules of posting in the feedback forum. If you have to think if your post adds anything to the discussion, chances are it won't. If it won't, don't post it.

There are some things you can ask for and some things that are ridiculous to ask for.

Asking for ICC ships to have more ammo to increase their combat endurance is reasonable. Drawing parallels to semantics, if your F-16 fighter has 620 rounds of 20mm Vulcan ammunition, it might be feasible for the manufacture to increase the ammo loadout.

You're asking for them to change Tau Ceti just because you don't like how the planets are aligned, or the distance between them are too great and inconvenient for you?
Yes the Devs definitely could do that. But personally I think that's just a stupid request. Because you can get around it by building deep space plats as a resupp base. I'm not taking sides with the Devs, but some requests just border on the ridiculous. Are players now demanding map changes so that the game becomes easier for them?
