This is alot better then my first attempt at a video, by far..

Now, you can buy Fraps for a cheap price, and it's well worth it. If your serious about videos like this, it's a great investment..

And Windows Movie Maker (Which I think you used) is only good for so much, I think there are a few free video editing programs thata re better..

And Sanity..

Sorry he didnt choose your style of music, but you shouldnt jump on him because of it.

Actually, the program is called Showbiz2, by Arcsoft. It came with my computer when i bought it years ago, and appears to be more designed for compiling home movies to send to distant family members. If i really get the time and energy to churn out a REALLY great DS video, I will get full Fraps and a better editor program.... and a larger musical library (I only own 4 CDs).

My all out video will probably be a 10-20 minute movie, with a full story and stuff.... somehow. I showed a hint of that ability with that scene where the ICC station fires the Ion cannon at the screen and then it shows a UGTO dread getting smacked by one seconds later. 2 different shots of course, but appears to be the same one. A movie could be constructed in a similar manner.

I will also need to compile a sound-FX library to lace over video recordings, which will better the intensity i desire for each scene. This is gonna take a long time, i think.

Very good movie. Even though I don't like the music choice I still love Evanescence (one of the few modern groups I actually like)

This is the kind of stuff DS needs to advertise. Movies like ths. Spread this movie around. Maybe choose a different song though. How about no music at all? But get that movie out there and let people see it.

One good thing about the editing program i used is that it wasnt difficult to simply remove the music without messing with anything else. A version without music has been posted in the original post. Enjoy.

Definitely put that 2nd one without the music on youtube with all the appropriate tags like darkspace, space, mmorpg, pvp, video, game, videogame, combat, flying, EVE, etc.

I'll host it myself if you want.

Awesome job, Kan!!! Even though I could not crank up my sound at work, the visual is good enough! I couldn't agree with you more on the beauty of Amy's voice, it's serene with a side order of agression.

Playing with the camera gave various views, it wasn't limited.

Very well put together

I like it more now with no music.... .

To make a point Kanman...no music may be way better. If they ever wanna have these videos on the website to watch, you cant actually have a song in it or you can get sued big time. i doubt DS has the money for that crap. Or they can just have links to you tube, but that still may be an infringment.

On the other hand, some of you probably dont realize but one of the many things I have learned in the design / multi media arts field is that you dont have to worry about that if you only use audio clips no longer than 30 seconds. you can even string multiple 30 second clips from multiple songs together and its still ok....if you didnt know. Hope that info was a help. Now go have fun and make home movies, gaming movies that is.

PS: a great program i have here at work is Adobe Premier. Its the big daddy of all video and audio editing programs. I want a copy at home in a big way. Use it if you can get your hands on a copy.

I just wrote a piece of music especially for the movie, so there are no longer any issues relating to copyright.

Take a look at the new version that Kanman has added to his post, and see what you think.

I didn't mind the music. It reminded me of the first Terminator soundtrack.

Nice movie, too bad for the grainy resolution.
