Make it so.

PS (it being the removal of wormholes and thereby the restoration of borders and teamwork.)

Im all for this. As Jack stated earlier (Though im a little late on this) It would indeed restore the fun that once was Darkspace. Spawning off somewhere and actually being forced to fight it out in a single system. Its more fun having to battle for border systems, or actually being forced to sneak THROUGH enemy held territoy for covert ops attacks deep within the heart of the enemies home system. Gives you a bit more fun in the long run, while making things a bit more tactical.

Besides, I myself found it more fun sneaking through Jumpgates for a bombing run in Sol or Sirius, than sneaking in with a WH. It raises the stakes a bit, and makes it funner, especially when you have to avoid other enemy ships to slip in undetected =P

So in other words, im completely in for their removal.

FOR.

Come on m8's remove those damn WH's and give us some great frontline battles again

and btw cant remember what year it was but remember the 3 most feared fleets was GTN (ugto) MoA (ICC) PB (K'Luth)...

anyway back then it was fun we where like 50-60 maybe more in one battle and damn that was fun the only prob was when u died u had to go all the way from your home sys to the frontline....but then again you didnt have to use so much time on modding, mining and so on it was just like this: log on pick your ship mod it a little if u want (modding where more for choosing your play style it didnt have so much effect as now) and 1 min. after your rdy to go

now that concept with frontline shipyards that would be cool

I'm not for their complete removal, but rather for the reduction of it's range.

Also, Backslash, whenever I'm on, I don't see ANYONE WH fishing with ICC WH Cruisers anymore. In fact, I've seen more UGTO Stations try and fish ICC ships than our Cruisers try and fish enemy stations nowadays...

If Whs are causing lag, then the best would be remove them. But if that is not the problem, then perhaps they should get 1 million gu far. that's all I have to say.

I love WHs....

personaly i love wormholes nothing like droping one in the middle of a fleet friendly or enemey to get peoples attention, also i have seen all fractions use wh to fish people just just icc . i think they could be lowered down 500 to 1 mil gu though

Take the wh's out ....Give the stations 300k to 500k Jump drives.
I'd give anything to get back too, navigating a whole fleet to engage a front line

WH should only be able to be set up between faction systems meaning an icc system could build a wh to another adjacent system controlled by icc but as soon as the system was in control of another faction the wh would not function....

Funny I never heard talk around the water cooler about removing the Wormholes...

The original concept required 2 ships to build jump gates or temp wormholes, but thats some time off from being implemented.

For now I have changed them to be inner-system tactical only, meaning instead of your dreads taking 3 minutes to jump across sol, the whole fleet can pop out on the other side in 4 seconds... Their range has been reduced to 1/10th of what it currently is and the duration of the Jump Cruisers wormhole has been cut in half.

Variation has also been increased while level no longer affects its range.

I like the in-system WH idea...

If in-system jumps are all WH can do though, IMHO they could be removed...

this sounds like a real good idea, all you have to do is send someone to a system >that you own< and build one there it gives more depth to the engies. allso add the ablilty to destroy jumpgates so if lets say you want to cut them off for 3 min to reciver and repair you can.
alltho i see a problem with the building the jg thing, people could cap a system in the enamys home system and build it there, so we sould limit it to a 1 system jump or a set range (like 1.5mill gus), or you can have it set to be able to lock the jg's to a certan faction thus forcing you to long jump to cap the system to be able to get more people in

im all for it
