If all other means of persuasion fail, bring out the ol' 'if you don't like it you could always not read/not play/move to another country' argument. 'Fascism 4tw'

Btw, you've said that in the past, and guess what? It worked! All but a few left.

No, just stop giving people the impression that the game will be perfect in 2 weeks™.

Did I ever say anything like that? no.

m0re tiem until what though?

Jeez, every patch is a 'big patch' and every time people get let down by it. Just stop telling people things will get fixed if only they wait a little longer, then maybe people wouldn't get so angry at being constantly let down all the time.

Stop whining, start testing.
Please.

Downey, testing is useless as since the conditions on the Beta Server and the conditions on the Release server is different, that what might be good for the Beta Server, can (and probably will) absolutly suck in release.

Thats one of the biggest factors that cause the botched up releases.

Not disputing that Red, and i agree, but in order to test the new system people would benefit from trying it. Most moans are about balance issues etc. Get a few people in and start testing, and then feedback.
people where moaning about lack of release, now its released people arnt there.

here, i've simplified this argument.

1) you need players to properly beta test this new version to fix the game

2) nobody wants to beta test/not enough people want to beta test

3) you can't close retail servers because people are paying for it to "force" people to beta test

4) the beta is tested (anyway), and goes live. It's totally unbalnced.

5) people complain, and leave the game

6) less people to beta test/pay for the servers/everything else

7) go back to 1

and there you go.

now, solutions, anyone? or are we going to wave "THE END IS NEAR" signs until darkspace dies?

Fattierob. You are forgetting the 1.483 Beta.

Theres MANY MANY people who beta tested it. Many many people offered numerous suggestions and numerous ways of balancing.

Instead, Palestar decided it wanted to do its own thing. From what was in beta at the time and from what I heard was planned, I knew it was a bad idea.

I remember the cries of 'Give them a chance!' 'Beta will be right when they finish it!' when I spoke out against it.

That beta was the precursor of the release that you all now hate and despise.

Palestar's last mistake was implimenting a huge series of features right before release and refusing to take any suggestions on how to make it better. That system is the upgrade system.

Didn't dem make a post about their being not enough people? Or maybe I am asking for too many people to go to beta and test? mm.

Such as? I don't really remember that part.

Okay. So after reading all of that again, palestar is evil, Darkspace is doomed as we know it, and the point of us even attempting to say Darkspace has a hope is lost.

here, I've made a picture celebrating the event.

I wouldnt go as far as to say Darkspace is doomed or Palestar is evil. IMO, I always felt Palestar was just misguided. Going in the wrong direction. If I truely felt that Darkspace was doomed than I would have dissapeared off the face of Darkspace. I would not be here if I felt that there was no hope for it.
