I think this "fight" has ben going on long enough, time for the people to choose their side.
Oldschool = Release version
Newschool = BETA
The ones who choose the release, keep playing in the MV or newbieservers. you may also pop into BETA to check if there is anything happening
The ones who choose beta, keep testing it and feel free to pop in the oldschool servers if ya like=/
Whatever you choose, remember to respect the ones who choose otherwise, or else this this "fight" will go on a long time.
I am not asking for this so people would ignore the ones who choose differently, just to make this crazy thing stop. this is no communism VS. democracy choise=P
I do not want this topic ending up as another flamer, please reply only by "NEWSCHOOL" or "OLDSCHOOL"

What's the question again? And why do we have to take sides? That just encourages conflict.
Many things about beta I cant wait for. Many things about release I'm really gonna miss.
I play in release, I test in beta. They're both DS.

Damn...on the third reply comes the answer i was looking for, quicker than i expected=)
This is what DS is all about, in my opinion, both the old and the new are worth the same to me.
Still people go on saying "play beta, release doesn't matter"
what, doesn't matter? That's like saying today doesn't matter, let's all concentrate on tomorrow.
Man, was it this bad when 1.482 was still beta?

Indeed, DS community shows it's political side...
It's like the Liberals vs. Conservatists(i have no idea if those are the right names for the ones i'm thinking about=P)
Just a thought tho, who are the ones that think release should not be played?

New/Old there are bits of the Beta I dont like, but overall I would go for the beta version

Reallt Old School.... I want to go back to the days before the current release... The days of Grouping and Missions, though Tael has said the Missions part is being returned to the game.
Bottom line is this...
1) - If someone wants to play in Release, let them do it and don't hassle them about it... Maybe they do not have the skills, knowledge or patience to do Beta testing.
2) - If someone wants to play with the Beta Version alot then those in release shouldn't heckly them to come back to Release to defend the MV or anything like that.... Remeber all you Release pilots.... some of these people are sacrificing alot of PERMENANT prestige to help make a better product prior to Beta's release since the Beta Profiles will be wiped and they will loose an prestige gain they have accomplished over thier Release Profiles.
3) - and then there are those who are going to do both.... Try to continue building there paying profile while helping to make Beta better.
No matter what catagory we fit into we need to support each other..

NEW SCOOL. Because new school rocks, needs tweaking, and basically, release just seems....boring. Especially after a full week of beta testing
