I've always wanted to take place in the historic battles told in the Darksapce History, it would give the game just alittle more depth then 'Go here, pewpew'. I really haven't thought up any rewards, I'm not sure if there really should be any.

2.18 2190 CE - The first space battle

This is a simple idea for an event. Have a team of players assault an asteroid belt filled with Pirates. Pirates can be either NPC or Players.

2.62 September 12, 2259 CE - Epsilon Ind captured by ICC

Another easy idea. Have an assault fleet on ICC invade Epsilon Ind while a defense fleet on UGTO defends.

2.71 February 21, 2268 CE - The Sirius Incident

This is my favorite one. It gives players a chance to relive the event that started the three faction war. Three fleets will be needed for this, one for each faction. UGTO and ICC will work together in this, so they will have less for each fleet then the K'luth to help even the numbers.

We could even come up with new battles that could go into the Darkspace history logs, an invasion of Sol or some other homesystem, or something like that. We need events that are abit funner then tournaments.

very good idea crim, i think it would very interesting and get alot more of the playerbase interested into the DS history, other then the same ole "Go here shot that" thing thats been going on for a while now. and just give a little of incentive to the players, say like 450 pres for all who partake in the event, and 1000 for the winning team members for each event.

Love the Idea!

Not loving the feeling like we're a bunch of pathetic loosers re-enacting the civil war, Lol..

Sounds like a great idea, i'd love to take part in any of those scenarios. Would the time of the event taking place have an effect on ship technology? For example the first space battle would not be as advance as an all out faction war?

Ya this is a very good idea. I especially like the part about the outcome of these battles being entered in the history logs. Would give not only a sense of continuence, but something for one side to rally around during regular battles, like avenging the alamo! And players would get to play a part in that history, the hero of Epsilon Ind! Should be recorded too.
