Okay, several weeks ago when i was having a fight with a certain ICC player it dawned on me to check his cargo and he had a charged shield in the cargo slot, now, when you first put in A NEW ACTIVE shield it charges up, however put the used one back in it stays charged, i dont know where yall get yer crazy ideas that it does NOT stayed charged in cargo because 4 of us tested it in admiral and low and behold all of our opinions are the same they do stay charged NOW! before you go accusing me lying again or starting another flame war, do it yourself uninstall an active shield and Reinstall it again and take pictures because yer gonna need the proof i just needed to get this out in the open because i have a strong feeling that several ICC players are doing this and then lying about it im not mentioning any names. but certain players do do this

That is already stated as being a bug. No debates to be had.

woudn't this fall under an exploit like swapping out JD's to get around the recharge timer?

EEEEEEXACTLY! which why uhm Armor Rotation should be banned however i do find that Active shields are harder to punch through than Reactives, hense where the bug comes in also, me and tatsumasa took on a Missle Destroyer and barely made a dent, 2 Battle dreads at point blank range and he didnt even flinch :|or if he did he switched out shields too quickly in either case, this needs to stop

Armor replacement without the arc bug is an exploit, and can be acted against.
The only reason any UGTO should rotate armour is to get away when they find out they have the arc bug.
Not to mention that the upgrade code for shields is broken. Shield HP should be relivant per level, but it isn't, and goes way, way past where it should be. I think Tael said somewhere that the shields seem to be locked to dread level, thats why stations seem a tad week, and everything below them are more powerful than they should be.

Yeh.
It only ever happens on one arc (the front one).
I have no idea where the problem starts, or how it starts, it just apears randomly. It's probably to do with some server de-sync or mis-communication. The front armour ALWAYS takes damage aswell as other plates. So if you're getting shot on the side, your front arc will take damage aswell. If your front arc takes damage, your front arc will take double damage.
But like I said, no way to re-produce it. Probably something to do with moding actually come to think of it...

Well, I dunno about reproducing it but it also effects ICC... lost two ships to it in a matter of minutes =

Yeah, Lag + Arc Bug = Dead ICC, or anyship for that matter. No Shield Rotating can fix that

It is somewhat less noticable when it happens with your shields but it does happen from what I've seen tonight... almost lost a 2nd heavy cruiser ontop of the one I already lost to it & the interdictor I lost to arc.

Actually, oddly enough, this is not the case. The Staff decided that armor rotation (note rotation, not replacement) is not to be considered an exploit.
Apparently it's just too minor and ineffective a thing for us to be bothered with...

Bleh, I meant replacement. I've getting my words mixed up lately . Yesterday I said "The EAD was the worst ship the EAD had the offer"

I can see armor rotation being acceptable when cirumventing the arc bug.
Though sometimes, you could be say, shooting a UGTO in a rear, and he'll replace that arc.
Or any damaged arcs for that matter.
So in some cases, people use it as an exploit, but otherwise it works well in getting around that annoying arc bug.
