We are not making the official Open Beta announcement immediately, because we firstly want to work out some server instability, second we want to let those of you who check out site on a regular basis to opportunity to download the latest DarkSpace client first.

The servers are now back online and the lobby application has been updated. Due to a change in the networking code, some of you with connection problems might need use regedit to delete this key from your registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_USER/Software/Palestar/GCQL/Settings/lastUpdate
This will force the Lobby to check for a code update next time you run the application. Once you get the latest lobby, then I've disabled the 24 hour update window until we get the lobby completed.
- Chat now allows cut/copy/paste
- The navgiation bar is much easier to understand, and it no longer needs to reconnect to change to a different game lobby
- The client now checks for other running servers, and connects to the best possible server
- Your chat color is now saved

| | | | | | | The first couple days of the alpha test of the new lobby software have been rough :) However we have flushed out most of the problems with the servers. The servers will be down saturday night until sunday evening while I make some major changes to the server code and SQL database to fix some design problems. Once the GameCQ lobby is stable, then I will be ready to release the new DarkSpace Client, provided everything runs smoothly then we will make the start of the Open Beta official. Those who wish to get the client before everyone else, and avoid possible download delays should check our site often as the client will be made available for download here first.
