| | | | | | | A major update will occur on monday, ships are being reconfigured so that they will be better balanced and more specific to their task. Weapon configurations are lighter so that the pace of the game will not be quite so fast.
Additionally, ship costs in resources are much higher now. Cruisers will cost 2500 resource points, whereas dreadnaughts will now cost 5000.
The K'Luth will be enabled on monday for one week for balancing purposes, after next week they will be disabled again until release. |

| | | | | | | Moderators have had their ability to play all ships removed in the latest code update. Any servers in which moderators can still choose all ships need to be restarted. |

| | | | | | | All prestige has been wiped clean from the database, so everyone can begin again at the same level and help us balance the gameplay as much as possbile.
The way prestige is calculated has also changed, making it more fair to those who engage in combat able to progress in rank at the same rate of engineers, support, and transports. Points are no longer awared based on the rank of the other player, but instead is now based on the type of ship.
Moderators still have full access to all available ships and are expected not to abuse the general population in their dreadnaughts. Please report any abuse to rlyle@palestar.com |

| | | | | | | The day has finally come, prestige will be reset to ZERO for all user accounts on Friday, 8/31/2001.
The reason for the reset is to get everyone back at the same level, since alot of people are such high ranks because of exploits they found in the early open beta. These exploits have been fixed, and we now need to see how long it takes to move up through the ranks playing the game normally so that it can be balanced.
All players have received 50,000 bonus prestige until the reset, so enjoy.

| | | | | | | Now that the clan system is functional, one problem is with incorrect or invalid email addresses for clan admins. If you are a clan admin then make sure your email address is correct, because each time a player joins your clan an email is sent to your email address. If the email address is invalid, then it ends up in my email acccount.
My policy is to remove clan admin rights from any user with an invalid email address. If you find that you are no longer a clan admin, check your email address and make sure you entered it correctly. |

| | | | | | | Our ISP lost power last night, which brought all the servers down until about 9:00AM CST. The servers should be back online, our ISP is currently upgrading their UPS system and adding a power generator as well. |
