| | | | | | | There is a known bug concerning ghosts in the lobby. This is caused when the player exits the game and goes back into the lobby. This will be fixed on monday! Until then, when you leave the game, simply join the room again to actually receive messages for the room. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | Just a reminder to all those who are currently playing DarkSpace with no problems, Please add your information to the Knowledge Base by using the link on the lobby menu. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | The update bug has been fixed, however older versions still might try to download a very large update. The auto update now uses CRC's to check for new files, which unlike the older system that used file dates, won't have problems when it comes to differing timezones.
You can get the latest version with the minimum download by firstly closing the DarkSpace lobby, client, and any server you may be running. A reboot might be required to make sure that all DLL's have been unloaded.
Second, run the GCQL.exe in the DarkSpace directory or run the DarkSpace shortcut and click on 'Play'. The lobby will update, downloading a new GCQ.DLL, reboot your machine if it asks. Once your in the lobby, the updater will run, and if you see the message 'Building local catalog...' then you have the new GCQ.DLL.
Installing the manual patch
1. Click here to download a 267k ZIP file containing the latest DLL's.
2. Unzip the contents into your DarkSpace directory, overwriting any dll's with the same names.
NOTE: Your update may be very large, as there were many problems with the file/date updator and you may have been missing many file updates.
|
| | | |
| | | | | | | Warning there is a bug in the auto-updater which will force you to download the entire game over your current install. If the updater begins downloading anything over 4 MB, then abort the update and wait for the fix which should be available by tomorrow at the latest.
NOTE: If you have just downloaded and installed the game, then your initial download will be larger than 4MB |
| | | |
| | | | | | | We've added several new features to the lobby and chat, additionally we fixed some security issues with emotions forcing us to reset everyones custom emotions. A command line interface has been added to the lobby chat, which will be available in-game on the next update. Using the new chat functions, you can now send a message to your entire clan or friend list (i.e. '/send clan Everyone come to naix' or '/send friends Hi buddies'). Additionally, you can now modify/view your friend and ignore lists using the command line.
You can get chat help by typing '/?' on the chat line and pressing enter. |

| | | | | | | Due to an database error, all players prestige was set to -1. Since this score is actually calculated from your statistics, simply join a game server and logoff to update your score. |
