Basic Tactics

Each faction has its strengths and weaknesses. The goal of this page is to give a brief description of how to use each ship and how to survive in Battle.

ICC

ICC is primarily a ranged faction that has more maneuverable ships versus the other factions. Another Advantage ICC has is their Advanced shield technology. This allows them to cycle shield energy to deflect incoming fire.

Scouts

Bomber: Corvette

Role: Bomber Basic Tactics: The bomber corvette doesn't see much action because of the usefulness of its big brother the bomber frigate, but the bomber corvette is best used for hit and run attacks on certain critical planet structures.

Role: PD boat


Missile Destroyer:

Role: Missile Boat Basic Tactics : This ship is good at dodging dreadnaught fire and unleashing Missles upon them. These are effective against Ugto but see limited use due to K'luth finding them easy prey.

Minelayer Destroyer:

Role: Minelayer Tactics: These ships are primarily used to mine gates and planets it hasn't seen use in ICC recently due to the low damage of mines.

Bomber Destroyer:

Role: Bomber Basic Tactics: This ship is good at taking down planets with limited support. It is used with smaller fleets because of its small footprint.

Combat Destroyer:

Role: Gunboat Basic tactics: This destroyer is an excellent ship for harassing larger ships such as cruisers, dreadnaughts and even stations.
