Gadget level is a value used to grade the characteristics of devices which are installed on warships. The larger and more advanced the hull of ship is, the higher is the gadget level of the devices which can be installed on it.

Values

Gadget Level depends on the hull type on which the device is mounted and are as follows

  • Fighter: Level 1
  • Scout: Level 2
  • Frigate: Level 3
  • Destroyer: Level 4
  • Cruiser: Level 5
  • Dreadnought: Level 6
  • Super Dreadnought: Level 7
  • Station: Level 10
  • Transport: Level 2
  • Supply: Level 2
  • Engineer: Level 2

Effect

Gadget level governs the characteristics of the following devices :

Projectile Weapons

Increasing damage, recharge energy, recharge time, AoE radius, missile speed and ammo, and decreasing projectile speed and missile maneuverability.

Beam Weapons

Increasing damage, beam duration, recharge energy and recharge time.

Armor and Shields

Increasing maximum hit points and armor weight.

Impulse Drives

Increasing energy storage.

EWar Devices

Increasing the strength and maximum range of effect.

Faster Than Light Drives

Tachyon Jump Drive / Antimatter Jump Drive - Increasing fuel capacity and recharge energy, and decreasing fuel efficiency.
Hyper Mass Accelerator - Increasing recharge energy and recharge time, and decreasing fuel efficiency and jump speed.
Worm Hole Device II - Increasing wormhole creation range, error in creation location and duration of wormhole, and decreasing recharge time.

Faction Special Devices

Flux Wave - Increasing damage, AoE radius, recharge energy and recharge time.
Pulse Shield - Increasing AoE radius, recharge energy and recharge time.
Cloak - Increasing cloak time, cloak engagement and disengagement times and cloak recharge time.
