EWAR gadgets raise or lower your signature.
Scanner
An advanced active radiation detector array, when activated increases the range at which a ship can detect objects to 5000 Gu. Due to high energy usage, using the Scanner also increases your own signature, but not that of ships around you.
Bombers often make use of the Scanner, as it dramatically increases the distance from which they can detect Planetary Structures, aiding their attack.

ECM
Standing for Electronic Countermeasures, this gadget jams incoming sensor pings and disrupts them, as well as muffling the ships own EM emissions. It is recommended that smaller ships use ECM devices to use their evasion abilities to maximum effect.
ECM reduces your signature and makes it easier for K'luth to cloak. ECM also reduces the signature of ships around you.
- Faction: All
- Area: 400 + (Level * 50) Gu
- Area Effect: Decreases signature in Area
- Energy Requirement: 0.1/s
- Cool-down Time: Gadget level * 6 Seconds
Swapable with: ECCM
ECM is also available as specialized variants, dubbed the Longwave ECM, Narrowband ECM, and Focused ECM.
- Longwave ECM has an increased area of effect, at the cost of less signature reduction.
- Narrowband ECM can only lock on a single target, but with a much improved signature reduction.
- Focused ECM Can only lock on a single target, but with great range and power. However, it consumes much more energy and has a longer cooldown.
ECCM
Electronic Counter-Countermeasures are devices meant to cut through an enemy ships jamming and make it more detectable.
ECCM raises your signature and makes it harder for K'luth to cloak. If a cloaked K'luth enters an ECCM device's range the K'luth vessel will begin to lose energy. When the avaliable energy reaches zero, the cloaking device will start taking damage.
- Faction: All
- Area: 400 + (Level * 50) Gu
- Area Effect: Decreases signature in Area
- Energy Requirement: 0.1/s
- Cool-down Time: Gadget level * 6 Seconds
Swapable with: ECM
Cloak
The Cloaking device, a K'Luth faction special, reduces your signature to 0 and makes you invisible. The more ECCM in the area, the more energy the cloaking device takes to operate and the longer it takes to cloak.
