| | | | | | | Austin, Texas, November 20, 2001 - Palestar, Inc. today announced that their action/strategy massive multi-player title DarkSpace has now registered more than 20,000 players to their Open Beta program which began in mid July.
During the last four months Palestar has continued to improve the game play and accessibility of DarkSpace prior to launch. Loyal testers and players played a large role in this overall improvement of the product. Many thoughts and suggestions have made their way into the final product.
Now Palestar is nearing it's official launch date. Last minute details are nearly complete with Palestar's new worldwide partner. An announcement is expected in the coming week or so as to their partner and details of the launch.
Richard Lyle, Palestar's President and Lead Programmer, comments 'We're pleased with the way in which the game plays at this point. With the recent addition of the map editor, we believe the product is ready for launch. Now we're simply awaiting our agreement with the new partner to be finalized.'
The Austin-based developer envisions the beta test period will close shortly but that new interested gamers may still download the client and play DarkSpace until an announcement is made as to the official launch date. To play DarkSpace head over to http://www.darkspace.net to download the client through Palestar's many host and partner sites.

| | | | | | | Austin, Texas, November 15th - Palestar, Inc released the DarkSpace map editor for the currently running beta test. The map editor allows players to create their own maps quickly and easily, it even allows them to link their maps with others to form a massive universe of servers, aka Metaverse.
The editor is automatically downloaded with the DarkSpace autoupdate, and can be ran from the splash screen by clicking on 'Map Editor'. Players can submit their maps to maps@palestar.com, those maps which qualify will be added to the offical distribution of DarkSpace. |

| | | | | | | Austin, Texas, November 6, 2001 – Palestar, Inc. is officially announcing a fan-site competition. All current and future DarkSpace fans are invited to participate. The contest will end on November 30, 2001 at which time all submitted sites will be judged and the winner will receive 3 months of free playtime in DarkSpace upon the official release. The 2nd place winner will receive 2 months, and the 3rd place winner will receive 1 month of free playtime.
Fans are invited to submit their sites to fansite@palestar.com before November 30, 2001 to participate in the competition.

| | | | | | | There is a known bug concerning ghosts in the lobby. This is caused when the player exits the game and goes back into the lobby. This will be fixed on monday! Until then, when you leave the game, simply join the room again to actually receive messages for the room. |
