Hi Everyone,
I'm in contact with the ATI developer support, and they would like to know all the problems (if any now) that those with ATI cards are having?

I have a ATI Range 128 Xpert 2000
Software Version 4.0 from 18.08.99 and i have big probs. i cant in english
i writh in german
In vielen Spielen sieht der Hintergrund aus wie ein Regenbogen der total verschwommen ist
es ist nichts zu erkennen außer den Planeten die sind ganz deutlich zu sehen
( unspielbar )
Dann kommt es ab und zu vor das mitten im Spiel einige Teile verschwimmen wieder so wie der Regenbogen ( alle Farben auf einmal und verschwommen ) z.B. die Jumpgates oder die Raketen oder die Ausstöße aus den Triebwerken besonders bei Hypersprüngen.
Teilweise kommt das auch vor wenn sehr viele Spieler in einem Spiel teilnehmen.
Wenn ich nun den neuesten Patch von ATI installiere von 03.2001 geht gar nichts mehr
ich komme nicht mal mehr in die Lobby rein
ich habs getestet.

I'll try to translate what Tirun said:
In many games the backgroung just looks like a very blured rainbow, except the planets nothing is visible, the planets however can be seen clearly.
Then suddenly foregroung objects start to look the same (like the rainbow), the jumpgates, rockets or the exhaust of the engines especially during hyperjumps.
This also happens when many players participate in a game.
When I try to install the newest patch (driver?) from ATI i cannot even connect to the lobby, this has beent tested.
I hope i translated it at least partially correct

Hi,
i have problems with the ati mobility 128 AGP. Chiptype M4 AGP 4x. In Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook E-Series 6585.
Driver Nr. 5.12.1.1053 17.10.2000 (i did not got a newer one)
The Backgroud only shows red and white vertical lines. You only could see the planets.

Hi again,
ok its the Win2000 Problem with the Picture Frequence.
When I use the lowest setting (60Hz) its ok, but the font of the written texts is not correctly pictured. There are missing pixels in it.
After i leave the game my the mouse pointer is away and you only could reactivate it when you press win- buttom and then escape.

I have a ATI RAGE PRO TURBO 2x (Deutsch)
ive no grafik problems but the letters are crazy,on half of it is cut ?!?!
'o' is for me 'c'
or 'D' is '|'
or '8' is '3'
(only for example,there is anything with every letter..)

Now i downloaded a new driver...
and there are no problems

I am using an ATI Radeon 64 DDR on Windows 2000 Professional SP2.
I have this graphic errors since the beginning (alpha test) and the flickering got better since the implementation of the WaitVB option.
Same graphic errors also with Windows ME.
I have tried various old and new drivers from ATI - always the same problems with DarkSpace.

I can you helpk me with a problem i have. When i start the game. I see a planet and then a minute later goes to a different planet. I heard that there is a play button in the box in the bottom right corner. I see the box. But yhere is the problem. My video i think wont render the text. I can't see any text or the play button. I just see in the box a small white messed up line and thats it. Can someone please tell me what is the problem. I have a ATI rage furry pro video card. Which is 32 megs. I run Windows ME. Please if anyone can help me i would really appricate it.

I'm having the same trouble as LemonMan99. ATI Rage 128 Pro card. 16MB Video RAM. WinME. Latest ATI Drivers (non-beta). This also referenced in Bugs under "Interface?"

Alpha fonts don't work
(more or less undreable)
If I disable them, it works with the center pixel thing.
