I am getting extreme FPS issues whenever I either zoom into my ship, or go anywhere near a planet, or other player.

Geforce 3 64mb 2311 drivers
Pentium 3 1000
512 RAM
Windows 98 SE

1024x768x16 (and 32)
Low Trails/Particles
Medium Detail
Default sound
