Hello guys/gals,

I'm looking to start Dark space. but I was curious as to whether a joy stick is required? Recommended?

neither.

mouse&keyboard is the default control system, and no other input method is currently supported.

if you're dead set on using a joystick or gamepad for some silly reason, there's 3rd-party software out there that'll let you map key presses to those devices.
