Sure why not, you have a deal. Remove armor and AHR from kluth and you can have your cloak without timers or energy drain.

that deal is acceptable only if uggies loose theyr aft armor too
its cool, kluth got bit harder because we cant sleep under cloak anymore.. so less people play because its not 'easy' anymore. icc will be icc, them pea shooters. ugto dominates again. all i see is things finnaly getting back to normal. now i can hate uggies again

Part of the problem was that it was. Chitin armor was tougher than ICC Active shields and composite armor in 1.702. In 1.703 it was reduced to be just as tough as Active shields/composite.

UGTO just been having the numbers, thats all. Any side that has the most people tends to win.

people were on kluth because someone *khm* had lagrely advertised how kluth is easy. as proper sheeps, they followed. now the news of cloak getting changed and everyone demoralized over it, people leave kluth and go back to their primary faction

The new cloak mechanics brings it closer to V button on ICC and UGTO (instant effect, long cooldown). Just a little tricky to activate it.
The point is, after cloak has changed, K'Luth expect another weapon/armor rebalance. A tiny adjustment is probably enough.
My only problem in 1.783 is core weapon. They're overpowered.

Core weapons are where they're supposed to be, IMO. Powerful, space consuming. And either travels slow, or recharges slow. In a way, they're the "super weapons" of the game. Or the 16-inchers on the battleship.

I feel sorry for the kluth atm. D: So lets see...
1.kluth ships warp in outside dico and receive incoming fire for 12 seconds without being able to fire back.
2.They try to close into tactical position while enemy flies away from them so that they dont get there in time in an organized and focused manner.
3.Once cloak fails they are sitting ducks.
I might actually have enjoyed this if I hated kluth/didn't feel sorry for them.
I don't get why they have to have prolonged cloaking delay, a short avoidable timer, and a hefty cooldown.
Can someone please explain to me how the cloak is a good thing atm? I feel like I'll be fighting the equivalent of a crippled old man when I get a wifi card for my pc.

I do.
|
ICC - Shields
UGTO - Armor
K'luth - What's the advantage again?
|
AHR - No other faction has a gadget than can repair Hull so quickly.
There is also ELF tech to regain energy lost.
That's the advantage.
Cloak finally has a condition to it - something which balances it. Imagine if ICC could spam v to their hearts content with no cooldown and destroy all missiles, fighters and mines everytime with no negative effect. That was how cloak used to be. Imagine an ICC weapon so powerful It would render all those missiles, mine and fighter ships useless by default. Fun? No. Challenging? Extremely. Fair? Not by a long shot. Why fly a ganglia if it's missiles were always PD'd, You would have more core cannons on a Krill. That's what cloak used to be: a 'V' weapon which unbalanced the game.

tbh the cloak is fine with me but ugto's emp weapons are way out of ballance when a single volley can destroy all of a ships systems rendering them unable to fight and barely able to run i have said many times it's an unfare advantage and totaly unbalanced then top that off with icc and ugto having combat ai support and luth not having any combat ai in metaverse just unbalances things further only place i saw luths combat ai working is in beta meta has nothing but transports

Define a single volley please. I know it may seem simple but emp gets stronger on bigger ships and gadget hp i think is weaker on smaller ships.
So informing devs on the details tends to not only help them in understanding the potential imbalance but also helps us players to understand whether its really a valid point. [ This Message was edited by: rykros1987 on 2014-01-13 07:43 ]

It feels like each faction had an edge that made it OP and fun to play... These have been filed down and are now balanced, blah..?
