For a long time now I've actually wanted a proper grid overlay in F2, as randomly moving my mouse around to figure where the axes are gets really frustrating. That, and the current "grid" is useless if you've ever toggled it.
Toggleable (useful) grid overlays: +1
As for what was brought to light in the OP, I can see why the devs are saying no, and to be fair the more time they spend getting the game to a functional, balanced state rather than making it look nicer in Two Weeks™, the better.

I agree with both of you.
Darkspace is 2D. Where does four number axis come from? How to comprehend it? Even 3D only has 3 numerical coordinates.
If you rotate map and zoom, then 99% you will lose track. So instead of saying a.b.c.d, please say something like: draw a straight line from A planet to B planet and move on approximately 50000 gu would be more helpful.

It's a.a.b.b, not a.b.c.d. The first two are ONE number, but as a decimal. 2D, not 3D. So I propose adding a space between the two so it is easier to understand. It's a quick fix that, along with a grid, would make finding points on the nav map MUCH easier.

what fluttershy is trying to say is that you guys have been playing this game for a Long time its become routine and easy to you you call thease suggestions a ''easy button'' because you do not know else when i started to play this game it was hard very hard to get into the tutorial wasnt too much of a help it flew me str8 into a planet while reading the walls of text i do recommend reconsidering the options making it more fun for people to get into a bit of publicity cant hurt either this game isnt very well known
i sinseraly hope you will reconsider

Limited time and more important things to be done.
