Well lucas said a little while ago, that if there was to be a 7th film it'd be set 40 years after the event's of the 4rd film, like how the 1st film was set 40 years before the 4th.

Also there's a set of books on that time period i think, involving a character that attends Luke skywalker's funeral after the Jedi council is apparently rebuilt.

Naw, there is a funeral in that book series but it's not Luke's. The basic story arc is that Han and Leia's oldest son decides the only way to stop the galaxy from being ruined is to become a Sith lord and ruin the galaxy.

It's started off strong but got silly very quickly.

I can't remember ever seeing a bad Disney film

You're lucky.
Here are some very bad movies that have broadcast again and again on Disney Channel (and advertised countless times):
[SNIP]

HEY i remember all of those!
Because they where always abundantly present in the $2 videos bin, that was standing next to the $2 pc games bin.

For me, Ep 2 wasn't so bad. And Ep 3 was actually pretty good.

Ep 1 sucked. Too kiddie.

as a movie ep1 is one of hte worst movies ever made and getting star wars away from lucas is a good thing and with ep1 and the new indiana jones movies proves lucas should never be writing, directing or have anything to do with movies. Ep1 is clearly written by a 8 y/o or an exremely retarded adult who has no idea how to make movies.

Also to anyone who still somehow believes ep1 was a good movie. Watch this review

Ep1 was a snooze fest. Lucas did it for his kid.
It's like Harry Pothead in space.

Eventhough it sucked. I believe they did it that way to grab a crowd whille it was young and released the next two episodes as they grew up and matured enough to watch the cute little kid from ep 1, turn into a murderer...
