Disney today aquires lucasfilm and all subsidiary companies owned by lucas including lucasarts,Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound.
very interesting news not only the possibilies of this acquisition may be good or bad but looks like star wars 789 are in the works as well.

To me looks promising considering disney has done well with marvel. Not only in films but this also includes lucas arts so this includes all star wars game ips and future star wars game development.

Disney is doing exceptionally well with reboots at the moment, and they've definitely done well with the Pixar acquisition.

I can't remember ever seeing a bad Disney film, and they have a ruthless reputation for scrapping large chunks of a film if it doesn't work, so I guess we'll see about SW 7, 8, and 9.

Apprehensive - though they couldn't really screw it up worse than Lunkas did. Also: PotC!

I'm kinda neutral on this, just going to wait and see how it turns out.

While they are at it.. I hope they remake Ep's 1,2, & 3. Even if they only digitally remaster them to remove Jar Jar .. lol

I wonder if this will open up Dev. on Battlefront 3?

Screw your screwing of Battlefront 3.

Also SW 7,8,9 needs to be on the old republic, they need to take the Old republic trailers as an example.

I'm not real big on the idea. I was 9 years old when Star Wars came out, and like 14 when the 3rd and "final" movie Return of the Jedi came out. For me it shoulda ended there. The "first 3 episodes" sucked.

However I see it going one of 2 ways.

1) they fall back to the Knights of the old republic theme.

or (and more likely I think)

2) They do an "After The return of the Jedi" since Hamil, Ford, and Fischer are all still alive atm... Solo and Leia have a child (gotta be in his/her 20s now) and Luke rebuilds the Jedi... etc etc, add Sith BS. and THEN after that "trilogy" is done they go to the KOTOR series from the games. The force unleashed series of games has a longshot chance, but would most likely be an additional 3rd "trilogy" after the 1st two.... IF the first 2 do not flop.

The latest 3 episodes had the Diseny sound theme going on... I just hope they keep them dark and not for little kids like with Jarjar Binks...

Well lucas said a little while ago, that if there was to be a 7th film it'd be set 40 years after the event's of the 4rd film, like how the 1st film was set 40 years before the 4th.

Also there's a set of books on that time period i think, involving a character that attends Luke skywalker's funeral after the Jedi council is apparently rebuilt.
