Another rule:
Do NOT fly in nothing but a straight line! Move around. Straight and true is an express ticket back to the shipyard.
When armor arcs are damaged but you have the hull to stay in the fight, try to bring good armor arcs to face the enemy. IE if your front arc is trashed, if you have to, fire a salvo and then turn to bring some better armor to bear before firing again.
