back in 1977, a fellow named george made this space opera movie called star wars. you may have heard of it.
towards the end of the flick, the hero and a bunch of good guys are in their ww2-era-fighter-planes-but-in-space spaceships and their gonna go give the Big Bad what-for by blowing up his battle station and generally make him rue the day.
now then, the guy in charge of this group of freedom-fighters and/or terrorist rebel scum, wants to make sure all his good-guy d00ds are paying attention and ready to wreck face and not trolling reddit. the dialog runs a little like this:

fast forward to 2007, and cartoon series Family Guy does an episode parody (that means makin' fun of) star wars, which by now is kind of a big deal.
anyhoo the episode also includes a take on the above hey-you-guys-stop-screwing-around-back-there-we-got-work-to-do bit, where various notable "Red"s check in.
