Since I don't see the regular forum post by an admin asking for bugs and issues, I'm going to put this here.

Bugs:

1. Swapping a Reactive Shield for a Skirmish Shield creates a gadget that appears before the engines, doesn't hold shield energy, and doesn't really do anything. Swapping Active for Skirmish works as intended.

2. The starport Pause/Start Import/Export of resources doesn't seem to work. Whenever you Pause export/import the planet seems to forget the option 30 seconds later and sets both to the "Start" position.

Issues/Bugs:

1. Benchford Buish Ship Protector and Zlarr's Defense no longer give damage reduction, and instead give regular defense upgrade. This change was unpublished in the dev log and significantly impacts the function of these enchancements. Will we get a free removal or refund for them?

2. Edit: It is also sometimes hard to tell an AI from a player when not in F2 due to the random generated names being back in. Perhaps an [AI] tag in the name would help? The ICS and UWS(or whatever it is) prefixes help somewhat but some players also have these prefixes.

I don't see where that talks about the Zlarr and Buish nerf and the last post there is 7-23? That's before this patch came out. Zlarrs and Buish were fine before 1.680. I put them on my AD a day or two before the patch hit and they still had damage reduction.

they DO have more defense thouhg. One does 9 (i think) and the other does 7,

I question if the defense enh are even working. Played on my dread for a bit which has 46% armor enh. I was taking massive damage though, two parasite AI shot me at the same time and hulled me with the one shot. I was using standard armor. Either defense enh aren't working now, or Luth got an epic style buff to their damage.

Yes, I mentioned that, the damage reduction got moved into defense. They used to have 7% defense and 2% damage reduction, and 5% defense and 2% damage reduction. 2% damage reduction is A LOT nicer than 2% defense.

Luth cruisers HURT, they always have. The problem was that they blew up if you looked at them funny. They still do.


Also, since damage reduction applies to hull it is much more powerful when compared to defense enhancements.

The Reactive > Skirmish issue has been fixed in beta - we're testing some other changes (nothing balance related) currently, and seeing as there's a workaround (reactives > actives > skirmish) we won't be releasing a hotfix immediately for just this issue.

eseveral icc players have stated that they can see our engine trails affter we cloak., im gonna test it later today when i get home from work. i'll post screen shots

Yesterday I ran Norton Power Eraser and it reported that GCQL.exe was a bad startup item. I heard that someone said Norton recognized Darkspace as a virus. I knew it was false but... GCQL-startup-item? I chose "fix" and NPE immediately deleted gcql away from my computer & desktop.

Will Palestar deal with this false alarm? I'm afraid Norton's mistake shall cause a bad reputation.
