Okay, i know that so many people have talked about this so much, the ship bridge view, just randomly flying through darkspace mv, cause i have nothing better to do and my fellow team mates are building planets because they have nothing to do (because darkspace is a dieing game) i hate to the bearer of bad news but it is true... anyway so we would get into a chat about it and talk about what could improve darkspace, well the idea about ship bridge views came up.
I believe that a join team of both darkspace personel and players we could achieve this, i know it wont be easy but eventually we will get there and it could help with bringing more players to the game or even with entertaing the ones we have now (which are nto alot), i have to admit i always look up at where the players and online are and i someimes wonder if that number is write... not really pratical in this type of game imo would server no use in combat situations other than to handicap your self...

with brdige view u mean camera mode, or view of space from the bridge instead of 3rd person? i lwould like the option to switch to bridge view with tab or maybe make it an f-button, since that alrdy changes the complete screen.
from rest of text i understand u just wanna do some discussions about the game since that part of the fun of the game? I agree:)
i like idea of big ship having several classes of operation, like a support station:
1 person in it: engines, lasers, repair field
2 persons on it: engines, lasers, repair field, missles, repair drones, core weapons.
3 persons on it: all, and wormhole/jumpdrive, + electronic warfare
make it so that the one spawning needs top requirements and is captain, lower ranking can also board the ship to allow overall bonus (missles and drones available) and the lower rank can be given an assignement in the group. like control of the engines, by the captain
what do u think?
oh oh and instead of engines have a small scout sized pod with a tractor beam that only works on that station it spawned from to tractor it around (if it stays within shield ring of stat it should survive in combat). think ill post this suggestion

in the right world, bridge view would be the normal view, and everything a function of it.....

DS is too action oriented for something like that to really work. Besides, if you want to visit your ship's bridge there are other games that have that, like STO.

Hasn't this been brought out before?
DS isn't a sim, and is played on a 2D plane. A bridge view, IMO, will be pretty underwhelming even if it was added as fluff. There're other areas that visual fluff can be added to the game, like;
- Ship UI
- SY screen
- More ship models
- Game startup FMV or animation
- Better planetary interface UI
... And other areas that I haven't tht of. But a bridge view just isn't necessary.

| Im suggesting make a camera view of a ships bridge, it doesnt have to be perfect but it's somethign players have talked about and im just bringing it up

Also, that first post is two sentences. It's churlish to make a big deal about this, but you will in fact be taken more seriously if you can break that down into something more readable.
