It makes no difference what ship you are in when it comes to FF...

it is true you must learn to fight in general whith various ships and different techniques.....

I hear everyone speak of using cruisers but I can say that you can play any ship class and be effective just as much or even more just know when to fight and when to run....

regardless you must learn when not to fire.....
you can hurt your own fleet mates making them have to leave the battle or get killed faster...

and all those points do count against you....

so for all the new players who may read this.... just mashing the space bar is not smart, unless you are playing 1 vs 1

like many games out there you need to play smart

Good Luck

Well I'd recommend just changing how your playing the game before taking time off. I've gone through that same mega loss of press before because I was stuck trying to play a role I suck at or using a strategy that didn't work. Just switch to building or supping or something. Or go on the scenario server cuz its near impossible to die unless the other team somehow rushes you with dreads. Just play it smart and don't worry so much about pres.

I would love to use Scouts and Frigates more often, but with the combined forces of LAG and SIPHONS, they lead an entirely binary existence.

Smaller ships need to be a bit more durable, and I only say this because you can get killed within one 'tick'. meaning you have no chance of escaping a point jump when your e-jump takes 2 seconds to engage.

Yeah, *I* have a lot of FF, far too much, and my FF to prestige ratio is only 1:20, Your FF to prestige ratio is 1:10. That's A BIT TOO HIGH. You need to watch where you fire, and not blindly shoot everything.

I'm telling you, most likely it's self-ff. Firing torps up close or QSTs with their splash damage will add to FF fast and unexpectedly. I get ff all the time, and I am extremely cautious to not ff, and even have a habit of deting ordinance that misses the mark.

In ranking, your best skill is FF. That's amazing!

Love this comment..

And just to remind everyone. It is slow indeed but it can be 'fun'..
Fly a Corvette of Frigate, with those ships you don't lose prestige on death.
They may not earn you a lot of combat prestige, but if you like dodging incoming fire and playing it tactically, use them. I love it!

you usually, when i use to play this alot were in corvettes when i was in my cruiser xD

With the lack of people playing these days I don't think you need to worry about anything.
