Are you serious right now? I know they dropped the prestige gain but this is, like, the easiest it has ever been to gain prestige in the history of this game.

In ranking, your best skill is FF. That's amazing!

And just to remind everyone. It is slow indeed but it can be 'fun'..
Fly a Corvette of Frigate, with those ships you don't lose prestige on death.
They may not earn you a lot of combat prestige, but if you like dodging incoming fire and playing it tactically, use them. I love it!

Ah, the corvette... doesn't do much, but entertaining to fly and no loss if you fail in spectacular fashion.

I think you are not alone at least.
I hear many people saying: "I am afraid to die".
And i see a lot of them getting demoted.
So stop treating him like a fool !!
One way is to go build in Scenario..
But they say "I have done that since a week and got bored".
Me myself got enough pres, but in the last couple of days i have to admit, i am losing pres for the first time.
Thats what i deserve if i fly around in a Dread like an ignorant.

i gain pres when i play tactical ALL THE TIME im online. Just...at some times i wanna chillax more or fool around a bit, realizing im gonna lose pres.
Whast ive seen is, that for gaining pres, u need an enemy that is agrresive, and either bring superior firepower or a faster more manoevrable ship. Also you have to keep track of everything.
Losing pres only happened to me when i purposely suicide for the fun of it, or didnt see the dictor was about to go online again or stuff like that.
if you keep losing pres, try to die less. getting dmged only give u small losses, getting killed hurts big time, especially at higher ranks. Its a little less fun, i a get a few less kills and feel a bit like a woosy, but you will gain prestige.
To play aggresive AND gain prestige, u need skillz, and teamwork is like a multiplier to skill.

Indeed, from my experience, I only lose pres if I die, or shoot an ally.

armor dmg no, but hull dmg does give some pres loss...or was it changed again and i didnt notice it?
a well main point the same: the more u play like a woosy, the more pres u gain. The game might get boring for you though, and you will rage on the devs to bring back the action
what people forget is that action is based on players attacking eachother, not players waiting semi afk at a planet for a possible luth jumpin trough 3 systems just to alpha you 2x before it needs reps again.
if u want action, u gotta find it. We can revive the Gentlemans agreement and maybe expand it whit a line saying "no active (non-afk) player is allowed to orbit a planet for more then 5 min. during an equal battle" or something. We dont have to wait for the devs to force us to play the game in a fun way, we could start right now!
log in, get a ship, and scout at least 4 systems! im sure you will find an enemy to shoot at that isnt just waiting within its planetdictor for someone to jump in. I can understand ppl get scared in open space: its the die hard aggresive suiciders that go more then 2K away from their planets now, or a totally new person, it seems. If more ppl leave their own system/planets and fight in an enemy system, game is more action packed then. Just to bad it isnt "tactical" to leave friendly planets to far behind you.
- If i would ask for an improvement in-game, it would be auto-docking. A shipyard wil automatically dock any nearby ship after 5 minutes.
- Next to that re-activate planet gravitation field so that people would find a downside in orbiting planets all day long ( die a couple of times more where they werent watchin). Also helps prevent the discussion of "i was afk". If he/she rlly was, they would have died by crashin into planet.
- Next to that a repair timer. A planet depot only repairs you 5 minutes per hour.
Resulting into: a planet is quick refill/spawn point only, Not a Stronghold.
Seriously i thought the planet dictor was implemented only to give a certain people a chance vs incoming pointjumps from a certain cloaking race. I thought planet was ment to be a temporary haven, not a 24/7 stronghold to orbit.
In short: Being near a friendly planet should have a serious downside say...after 5 minutes of being near that planet. This will result in more ship movement and scouting for enemies instead of waiting for them to come to you. It would result in a broader spectrum of players more then 2K away from planet.
