After a complete server outage http://inductivesoul.us/darkspace/Client%20Download/DarkSpace.exe is back online and available to all Dark-Space members.
Reason for the outage: Data-center Null Routed server, reason given: None.

Sorry Inductive Soul, i tried to find the post explaining what to do to get added, but i can't find it at the moment..
If you want your hosted installer to be added to the downloads section, it needs to be named like the original. namely 'DarkSpace.exe' exact.
No other name, and .zip or other compression format, just the original file..
Change that, and i will poke the right people for you.
And, thanks for hosting another download mirror

My download mirror had not been changed since it was originally posted.
DarkSpace_V1.67.exe
is labeled Version 1.67 so you know what version it is your downloading as my server may eventually have more than one download available. All the other hosting sites I look at except for community hosted ones have a separate link and file format, if your so concerned with the file then just simply don't ad it to the mirror list,
Don't waste my time by making me change a stupid file name when the file is just fine.
The files is labeled so it makes sense what version it is, with out this information I don't know when I need to update it when new versions come out as I don't actively play dark space at this time.
It was fine formatted like that before why is now any different?
not to mention its hosted on a server with a 100Mbps line, I don't see why you would not add a high speed download link such as mine.

Personally, I think you're being ridiculous, if they don't want to use your mirror, then more bandwidth to ya. Getting bitter about it is just childish and stupid.

That's the GCQL file i suppose, and since GCQL updates itself then theres no need to have a _1.67 on it.

It's the installer of the GCQL, but yes, since the GCQL auto-updates at every launch, a version number is unnecessary.

I understand that if you don't play the game you might not have that much interest. But even so at-least try to show it if you want to help DarkSpace.
To indirectly answer your question, look at my mirror.

And don't get mad for me saying this.
But if you want to gloat/boost by saying your are on a 100mb host, make sjure the server preforms as one. as i am only getting up to 1.2mb/s on your mirror. Mine is 1gb, but has a configuration that limits one connection to 50mb/s (that still is 6mb/s and you will GET that)
Anyhow i will poke the admins to get your mirror on the list. But i to had mine rejected back when i first mirrored the installer for the same reason. filename. And this has been the standard for a long while.
(and i solved that by using folders)

Not gloating just simply saying that the server its on has a good connection, nothing was intended to be seen as me being a brat about it.
I was merely trying to say that I put it up so people can use it, that's all. Was not meaning to get into a big ordeal about it. As I stated, add it or don't add it I don't much care I just figured I would upload it and be nice.
