We've all this happen to us in one form or another.

Your plotting along doing you dutys building, shooting etc....and BANG you have Kenny_Naboo 20GU in front of you and pounding ya to the stone age. Now in say a EAD you'd simply return hell back to Kenny but what happens to the poor fellows in a smaller ships? (as is most of the time...lol) well we are scrampling to find a jump spot so we can E-jump our Sorry butts outa there before he helps himself.

What I'm simply surrgesting is that we can pre set our Emergancy Jump locations (by useing the CTRL button, kinda like building platforms in a Enginer ship) so when we are smashing J to get away from Kenny it's a simpler and quicker effort to get outa there and we denny him Lunch.

Obviously there would be ristrictions, like range and ship type prehaps but the E-Jump we have now is frankly a little retarted and mostly ends up jumping you INTO a planet in which case you shoulda stayed put and have Kenny the kill and prestige for it OR it Jumps you CLOSER to the ship your running away from (like what happened to me the other night)

Just a Small thing to make life easier for us and a little more diffacult for our Alien friends who take Hide and Go seek a Little bit too seriously...

oh why? i think its quite funny to uncloak 20gu away from unsuspecting victim. i usualy already turn to direction safe to e-jump, only problem is that of i can figure it out and react fast enough

I like Juex. Ok he's usually quite tasty. But again, I like him cos he's spunky (no I didn't say he tastes spunky).

So yeah i'm gonna agree w him. There have been suggestions made by a few players, including myself abt the possibility of being able to plot waypoints into the nav. And u could simply call up a nav point and hit J to jump.

Though Juex, I would also heed the other players' advice to have yr ship pointed into the clear so that u can shift-J the moment I decloak 20 Gus from u.

There is already something like this. E jump. Shift J makes you perform this action.

The best case scenario E jump would be to;

Jump toward the enemy ship at a high angle of attack. Where as a bearing of zero degrees would be a jump parallel with an imaginary line running for to aft, the ideal angle of attack would be 20 to 40 degrees port or starboard of this line heading towards his aft.

Ideally your E jump should take you through a friendly indictor field. The further you travel through a indictor field the better. This will close the corridor available for enemy pursuit.

At the end of your jump change heading 90 degrees port or starboard and hit max throttle. When your JD has charged, again make a course correction of 20 to 45 degrees port or starboard and Ejump again.

This ensures the enemy has to do the maximum number of course corrections in order to give chase. You will easily outmaneuver everything above your class.

If you dont get this, i can draw a picture.

Me and opposition came up with this tactic for enemy evasion a long time ago. After your second Ejump your free to return to any position you desire.

Hope this helps

This made me lol reading. Thing is borg in anything below a dread Vs a Krill atm its best to get the heck out of dodge or get range if possible. With what he said you would be dead before you could hit Ctrl someplace safe

Buy a TomTom and then you can decide if you want to jump the quickest or the fastest emergency route!

I was thinking more, say i CTRL and click a random place, you then have the option of setting "Emergancy Jump Location" and when you push CTRL-J when you need to the Nav computer automaticly starts turning you (if needed) to jump to that point (Obviously if theres a planet in the way it will be just like clicking a location and pushing J) and you jump.

Emergancy Jumps tend to always jump me INTO the emeny fleet even if i'm facing the other way or not working.

That's why I was saying.... Before you start building or anything, make sure your ship is pointed INTO THE CLEAR.
