It seems that when i try to login a window pops up saying i have illegal characters but i assure you that i dont. Can anyone clarify the issue?

Ok so for some reason i picked some random user ID name and it accepted it?! It seems to be working at least...

Need more information.
Are you trying to login to the client, or website?
Both use your login name and password to login. Any illegal characters (crillic, etc) will mean your account will fail to login due to so called illegal characters (of which are detailed in that pop-up).
You won't have been able to login with another ID, so I assume you fixed whatever incorrect char you had in your name  .
