Doesn't sound like a good idea. Opens up a loop hole to same faction griefing.

Some one you don't like on the faction you're on. Pop dictor field on when they're almost dead and ready to jump away.

I'm still trying to get people to call it an interdictor, or at least dictor. Good luck getting it on a station.

Also, destroyer with a full set of speed enhancements- hilarious interdictor interceptor.

I wonder what ship station can trap them inside the dico range.

Interdictor is not simply a device, it's actually a service that requires speed. The only bigger ship than cruiser that I think should have interdictor device is the command dread. Make it a richest collection of devices: tractor, mining, bomb, fighter, missle, gun, core, build, repair, scanner and interdictor.
