Alternatively, if you don't want to remember numbers, use /room join DarkSpace_English.
The chat commands cannot understand syntaxes concerning objects with a space in their names. You need to use a wildcard instead. This applies to all syntaxes which need the name of something in their usage.

You can do this:
/room join "DarkSpace English"
or
Display a list of rooms so that one can be joined by ID
/room list
==
/ro li
You will be given a list like this:
* Found 9 rooms...
DarkSpace Deutsch @5, 0 members
DarkSpace English @1, 34 members
DarkSpace Español @7, 0 members
DarkSpace Français @6, 0 members
DarkSpace Nederlands @2, 0 members
DarkSpace Português @8, 0 members
DarkSpace Suomi @6186, 0 members
Metaverse @9, 11 members
Staff @6667, 0 members, password protected
And then
Join the desired room by ID
/room join @1
==
/ro jo @1

The parser assumes that if you put in a space you're trying to give it extra arguments. So, when you type in:
/room join darkspace english
the parser reads it as:
/room - This is the room command. I'll be expecting "join" or "list" or similar as the next word.
join - Okay, so you want to join a room. Next I'll be expecting the room you want to join.
darkspace - There isn't a room called "darkspace".
english - I don't know what to do with this because you already gave me all the arguments I need, so I'm going to ignore it.
This happens for things like "/send john doe" as well. It assumes that "john" is the player and "doe" is the message you want to send. The solution is to use quotation marks to make it clear that it's one item:
/room join "darkspace english"
/send "john doe" you suck!
