It wasn't the best performances ever, but it gave it some charm. The story was unique, non-standard things happend to a standard SG team.

Plus I liked Janeway and Voyager . Same here: not the best, but interesting and fun to watch nontheless.

I can bear slow moving storylines. I sat through all the Trek movies, B5, and BSG:TRS.

I just dislike one-dimensional characters. Sort of like Tom Clancy characters in his novels.
I always tht sci-fi was doomed to have square, straight cut, one dimensional characters until BSG came along. I just wished the characters and acting were more natural. More human somehow.

Janeway was a stiff Martinet. hated her.

Scifi characters need to be less heroic and dedicated. They need to be more selfish, cowardly, greedy... The darker side of human nature. More believable.

lol SGU shows the darker side of the good guys (i must add that the line between good guys and bad guys was very blurred wich is a good and bad thing.) alot more often then SG-1 or Stargate atlantis (not saying thay werent good shows cause thay were)

im sad to see it go :C

For those of you who are interested, the complete second season of SGU is available to pre-order on amazon.com for $31.99. Available on amazon.com (for free US shipping) and amazon.ca (for free Canadian shipping)

It is released on DVD on May 31st.

If you haven't heard by now, SGU is done. There will be no more episodes, or a movie. The same goes for any SGA movie.

After watching 24 episodes of BSG i can say the folowing about SGU.

ITS a fail copy of BSG. Even right down to the Genious doctor with a british accent hearing voices in his head, making choices that tie in with the fait of all those on the journey to get to earth.

They both are being chased by relentless machines...

The military rule that is challanged and taxed when it comes to civilians.

SGU is just a bad bad bad copy.

If you LOVE SGU, then go watch the original, and way better version, BSG.

Did you really need to necro-bump this post for that crap you just said? SGU is a great, original show, you just see similarities because you fail to see differences.

SGU was crap - lasted two seasons too long and destroyed the SG franchise. Worst mistake Cooper ever made. It's the Enterprise of Stargates, except it didn't learn from Ent's example.

SGU ain't exactly a copy. The fact is that BSG has better characters and better acting overall. In fact, when I bought Season 1 of BSG in 2008 (Yes, I didn't bother watching it back in 2003 because I generally have no faith in Sci-Fi series LOL) I approached it with a lot of skepticism. But the characters and lack of blah blah technobabble won me over in the end.
