Another thing.

When I try to bomb enemy inf off a friendly planet, I noticed that when the Inf are stacked very high, bombs do almost no damage, if any.

That problem has been around a very long time now. Stacks of infantry reach out into space like some massive tower of babel. Only the infantry closest in distance to the surface ever get hit, and when they're gone the rest of the infantry remain floating in space instead of shifting location back to the surface, so you wind up with a floating line of infantry disconnected from the planet that can't be bombed until they move.

Before bombing:

After bombing:

The rest of that stack is now 100% immune to bombs, whether targeted directly or the diamond below them. They need to move back to the surface when the ones underneath them are lost. They'll stay that way forever until an enemy infantry lands on the surface, and that's not a solution to the problem, just a workaround until it's fixed.

There should be a stack limit per square.

That was my first thought. I don't see a problem with it other than determining the limit.

Yes it can work in our favor if the enemy has to deal with it, but nobody should have to deal with it. It's a bug that should not be.

It's been around for years so I suspect it's not even on the list

I believe you can self detonate the bomb on the stack, I'm pretty sure I did this to a stack once, and I think it worked. I should check that sometime.

Also, psms seem to have large aoe, before patches psm would kill a pd base even if it didn't hit, it just had to be close.
