Think what’s possible in the entire universe, this changes the way we look for life rather then just looking for things made of the same "ingredients" as us now we have to broaden our view and ideas of habitable worlds beyond the stars.

Star Trek bounced around silicon based life in several episodes, from viruses to sentient life.

Always thought that was really interesting.

But this is talking about life developing on planets similar to ours, but with more arsenic than phosphourus (I just butchered that word, a chemist is going to murder me in my sleep ), which means in our search for habitable planets, we just became more likely to find neighbors.
