I searched but found nothing I could see that might answer this. Why doesnt a Kluth ship regenerate energy on it's own?
Do I just have to circle a gas giant or friendly planet if there is no resupply around?

Kluth ships has the least aux generator. But engine affords to gain energy so just slow down your ship.
Perhaps adding more aux gen on Kluth des?

if you run out of energy and still are recharging weapons, you won't gain energy until they are recharged. otherwise you should be getting energy

Aye the problem was I am always at max speed. Once I slowed down I see my energy recharge on it's own.
