I've seen increased pres loss for dying brought up several times, and it's always shot down because it's "not fun" or some such nonsense. Basically the same reasons Sparrow/Peregrine missiles got nerfed into near uselessness, anything that makes it so it's not a cakewalk to tool around in bigger ships is blasphemy.

Before you lost over 1k prestige by losing a station.

back in 483 a loss of a ugto suport station was 1200 pres, not counting the friendly fire losses for blowing up every small ship with in 300 gu's of your station.

I noticed that only the veterans of DS are commenting on this....

I do agree to the whole idea but this would require some massive overhual that might take weeks to months to plan, almost a year to institute, how would this work out ?

Here's a funny thought.

Double the pres requirements for all ranks. Shift the badge requirements one tier up (bronze to silver, gold to platinum) for whatever.

LOL.

It'll be a riot.

There's too manyy dwarves playing now, and the Elves are just plain jealous. It's at the point where a fighter comes on, gets rolled by 10 Dwarves, then just logs off. This just shows that Dwarves are OP, and now everyone will be a Dwarf when they finally get the rank to do so.

SOMETHING MUST BE DONE TO FORCE PLAYERS TO PLAY ELVES AND HUMANS TOO!

Common Devs, get with it!

apparently you don't get it...or you want the status quo. i don't play because it's way too dread/station heavy, and i am a cruiser pilot. you have got to stop insulting everybody here, and get with the program.

I disagree with you, him, and everyone else with this point of view. It is that simple. If you want to be insulted, be insulted. I care. NOT.

I'm not going to get with your "nerf pilot abilities program". Get it? Understand? That is not an insult. ITS A DIFFERENCE OF VIEWS>

If I called u an idiot, THAT would be an insult. If I use metaphor to make an arguement, that is not an insult. Learn English. Dont let a Texan pwn you with English. It's like being beaten up by a girl for your lunch money. It's embarrassing.

I simply DO NOT AGREE WITH THE IDEA THAT I STRUGGLED FOR YEARS FOR MY RANK AND SHIPS AND SOMEBODY ELSE WANTS TO ARBITRARILY TELL ME I CANT USE THEM.

If the game went this way, I would just NOT stay. I am playing DS as it is. YA'LL are the ones wanting a change to how it operates. Why should I be the one to get in line with anything? Seems to me I am in line. Its other's that are QQing up rainstorms in the forums.

And there is nothing wrong with UGGY and ICC cruisers from what I see.

I want my Claw back. Luth were meant to be in smaller ships. But that was changed. Now the Claw in heavy combat is a joke. Result? I fly other ships now.

GET WITH THE PROGRAM YOURSELF.

Translation: I cannot play the game how I want to play it, on the faction that was supposed to play that way. Instead of trying to argue to fix this, instead I'll continue to abuse the system thats setup to favor bigger ships until they eventually get nerfed or better yet, never do, because nobody will take my precious ships away whether or not the fact stands that they can and will if they feel like it.

Also, because I feel this way, instead of adding something constructive, I'll demonstrate my opinion by telling other people to just do what I do and abuse the game while you still can.
