General Tactics on how to play in scenario.

When you first enter scenario you will notice most of the players in said server are in transports. The reason for this is: TO CAPTURE PLANETS.

Some more experienced or Smarter individuals will go for the flagged planets.
Or a planet with High Resource Caps. For example Terrans, Arids, Ice.

Once your team has a number of planets under there control the building frenzy begins.

Usually you will get a few people building planets. One person will be employed with the task of building a Shipyard Planet for you to spawn your ships from. The others will usually say they are going to build: Depot Planet, Infantry Planet, Death Star, Infantry + Depot, Secondary Shipyard.

In some cases the team will split into two sub-teams. Half defending and attacking helpless Engies. The other half building.

After this building frenzy the mining frenzy begins. The person who has built the shipyard planet would usually say: Shipyard is up and running. Or something along those lines. You will then need to mine for resources. Usually a group of people will go ahead with the mining procedure. While the person who built the SY would make minor tweaks to the planet.

After the mining. People would bring out the Combat Ships. And the Spacebar Smashing Begins. No need to mention anything else there except. One side would usually hug a planet while the other would jump to them and attack. During this period some people might go and capture planets with Low Infantry, Def bases etc, etc.

Near the end of the scenario. Usually the team that has been hugging would jump to the other team for example: UGTO has been jumping ICC for the most of the scenario and Vice Versa.

The final 2 minutes are always the best bits of the scenario. Lone Warriors will commit suicide in a pack of enemy ships. Great fun to watch.

Then the scenario ends and you reap the rewards... depending if you have won or not.

And that ends my How to... play in scenario. General Tactics.

Hope you enjoy this and find it useful.

Will make more of these How to...'s

This isn't so much a "How to" guide as it is a summary of what generally occurs in scenario

sometimes i see people going noob style:
grab a frig and smash all enemy engis
ignore the "better build your sy or you will all be crushed"
log when enemy sy is up and running

around 3-4 months ago this was very popular, not sure now

Here's the best thing to do in a Scen.

Get 2 of your guys to hunt and kill engies.

Get another 2 guys to keep spawning new trannies at the gate and rushing newly capped enemy planets (and their engies if you can spare the time). Once they dropped their troops, either SD... or make a jump thru the homegate and scrap that tranny, respawn a new one.

Make the enemy ragequit.

i sometimes play in scene becouse its gives me chance to try other factions ship and its more fun to kill those engies in our figates than flying those big dreads and waiting for the noobs on other team to complete their SY knowing only minutes left till the scene is over ...

@Panduh, you are right this is more of what generally goes on in Scenario...

But it does give a little guideline of how to play.

I am in documentation mode. Is this the best way to play the game, or is it a better tactic out there?

It's the best way.
You can also spam the enemies with new-spawned frigates throughout the scenario, but people don't like guys who do that and the possibility to win a scenario that way is veeery close to 0

Edit:
Unless the enemy ragequits
