Besides the graphics issue, many players have reported a wee bit of lag or even desync. I normally do not have this problem, but I just died twice tonite at 20% and 15% hulls respectively, so something is a bit off here.

The new system delays displaying the updates for a second. The server will receive the damage, but won't tell the client(s) until the timer passes. So at times it may seem as if you're not taking damage for a second.

Anyway to send the stats as a priority first?
The alternative for me was to adapt.... ie. give myself a bigger buffer by running away at 40% hull.

LOL... no, but we will implement FSAA ourselves in the next update more than likely...

I'm going to make a guess that the "lag" people are experiencing when changing to the nav screen is due to the fact (assumption) that the HDR effects are disabled in this transition. HDR and 2D menus do not work nicely, but if this is indeed the case then you probably already know this -.-

Hey, my four year old (now seven) would be offended if he saw that. He's a good artist.
I particularly thought his macaroni islands on Exathra were brilliant.

The HDR effect isn't applied to the HUD..

Any idea what's causing it then? I thought it was HDR at first too, but it was clear that wasn't the case after disabling it and having the graphical lag still there in F2.

Yeah I had a graphics issue, upon logging in and undocking everythign was black except for the UI panels, and the icons for ships. Turning off HDR fixed this however.

If you're forcing AA the NVIDIA control panel you'll find that the screen will turn black. A lot of NVIDIA cards have issues with AA + HDR.

So I noticed the new FSAA box in setup, I enabled FSAA and now my refreshrate is locked to 60hz ingame. Pops back up to 100hz when i uncheck FSAA.
Dont tell me to get an LCD monitor, coz the only one that even comes close to my CRT is an alienware monitor that costs over 1000 bucks.. [ This Message was edited by: Apehezt on 2010-09-27 05:48 ]

NVIDIA driver issue, not a game issue. Tested it on an old CRT with a Radeon 9800 XT and the refresh rate stayed at 75Hz.

Is this in the F2 nav map or the normal field of view?
