dictor prestige would be hard to balance/implement
if we try ships dictored more pres over time as they stay in it,
this is begging for exploitation
if we do ships killed in it,
it depends alot on luck and who is in the fleet
if we do ships damaged in it,
same as above
if we do ships jump in dictor,
park your self in enemy ai trade routes and sit back and watch the pres
grouping with just 1 skilled dread/station could give a 2nd rear the pres boost of his life

Flying a dictor is minimal risk and requires minimal skill, it does not need further compensation.

How about a small decimal-based prestige gain to the interdictor for every ship Damaged within the interdictor?
Depending on circumstances (your faction, ship-type, amount of allies/enemies, etc.), if you know what you're doing and have enough experience there is a reasonable chance that you may escape a dictor without being destroyed. The interdictor should still earn prestige for their work and a damaged enemy ship is still better than a new one.

i only wtink we should get pres because we are constantly under death risk and because sometimes when fighting ICC/UGTO it is VERY useful.
it's not being a noob, It's strategy.

You have to remove Kluth then, too. There is almost always 1-2 Kluth camping near the fleet waiting to kill people who retreat with less than 30% hull and just kill them.

I agree remove k'luth

mmm granted the dictor can and has destroyed game play some times for about 3 to 4 hours and really and to be honest i rarely run away from a fight i only try and run if i can but most the time ill fight till the end but once a dictor turens up instead of attacking the most dangerous target i switch to attack the dictor to either make him run/cloak/or die and then carry on with my first target (althou by this time i would either be dead/running/or really damaged) so either way yea sure i dont like the dictor but its not enough to stop me from fighting (althou if we hav a dictor on our side i tend not to make the killing blow if i can help it as i prefer to kill my enemy while he has the option to jump)

The most simple solution for interdictor ship is: .
For Luth, remove Piercer and equip Parasite with Interdictor.
That will make these 2 cruisers the most fearful ships in the game.
That's easy and everyone will be happy and sad, depends on the side kills or killed.

Think deeply about it.
Make sense?

Thinking not-very-deeply, giving the missile cruiser an interdictor device would result in it having approximately one missile launcher.

That's why I said something powerful like that will not be in game.
Dico prestige has been dicussed a few times. I don't think this new one will have any brilliant idea to change.
After all, just like somebody volunteer to provide ECM for bombing, dico is another volunteer job. Whenever I get dico, I don't care about pres. I just think "My friend need help. With it, my faction will win" and feel happy about my action.
The point is, are you happy while you're playing? If in a dico, you feel so, then you get what you want, right? If not, if prestige = happiness, then don't play it. Simply.

That's not the point.
we have fun in killing ships, right? and that gives pres.
now why couldnt we have both fun using dictor and helping team finish off enemies(helping them gain more pres, consequently), while also gaining prestige?
both interdictoring and killing helps, and we have fun with it, but interdictor has no prestige.
we want to gain something more than "fun" for sitting in a station's antenna and pressing "I" everytime a enemy station/dread jumps in and you have a bigger fleet, i have fun with it because it helps the team, but what sucks is that it doesn't help yourself, in the end.

Well that is kind of the problem isn't it. There is risk in going out with a combat ship and attacking an enemy. If you do it right the risk in flying an interdictor is negligible.
High risk high reward, low risk low reward. Use the grouping system, it was implemented for a reason.

low risk and huge support for team on destroying enemy ships should be = medium reward.
