Tau Ceti Center Star still not producing any energy for Solar Generators, and there are still some planet errors (for example barren planets being ocean or gas giant being barren)

there is a bug where when someone is promoted to group leader the person that was group leader keeps the yellow colour and this might lead to some confusion

um... time for a real bug and not just whining over how people dont like grouping... I have noticed that when a group leader leaves it shows them as being still loggd in for a looooong time, it will show where there ship was but it is not there and it never promotes another person to leader when the current leader leaves. I was in a group last night that we had going and the leader left but he selected someone else as leader, the whole time this 2nd person was leader it showed the first person as still being there but they wherent really there. Their name was dulled out but when you selected them it would show empty space where they last where before they logged out. Then the second person left and we never had a new leader selected so we couldnt invite anymore people to the party... It was rectified by everyone leaving the group and starting another one but it still seems like a bug to me as you have stated a new leader will be chosen automatically when the current one leaves.

Groups are persistent... but it is a bug that they are gaining stats while not logged in, this will be fixed in the next hotfix.

- Fixed jump drives not being reset properly when leaving an interdictor field via a jump gate.



I had this happen twice today, once when I left an interdictor field by going through a gate, and once when the interdictor went through a gate while I was chasing it. First time I had to fly to a SY and dock to fix it and second time it fixed itself after I went through the gate after the interdictor, then back through again after it jumped away.

I tested this and did not gain prestige, after logging off for an hour and being in the same group, my prestige remained the same as when I logged in - though I do agree that it should be double-checked in any case...

JBud, I think it's more that it still "shares" it with them, i.e. one person offline, five people online, prestige is still shared /6 rather than /5 - last night I was in a group with everyone but me offline, and I earned 0.2 of a kill.

I'll be honest, I don't see the incentive to group? It's not even that I'm against sharing badge stats which for me is reason enough not to group. Getting a small percentage of what you earn + what others earn is no different than you getting 100% of prestige you earn when not grouped and the others getting 100% of their own.

Unless you plan on being afk and leeching prestige or something, there's no reason to group for prestige gain.

EDIT: I did forget one incentive to group, and that's if you're flying a supporting non-combat ship like an interdictor or pinging scout. But you are taking a percentage of prestige without contributing any yourself, rather than the older system where your groupmates are earning full prestige and you're earning a bonus of it.

Mr. Sparkle, imho i think that by pinging with a scout and beaconing, or by flying a picket or escort, you are greatly increasing the survival and therefore prestige gain of the other people in your group. So from one stand point you could say all of that extra pres gained by you doing a non pres gaining but supportive role would actually be pres that you earned. For instance earlier i was flying a picket and greatly reducing the number of missiles making it to the larger ships in our fleet, thus i was allowing them to fight longer and gain more prestige. They where only allowed to do that because i was flying picket. So you could say all of that extra pres they got was because of me... get what im saying?

RE: Grouping. I'd like it if the planet collission, Scouting, Kills, Killed, Self-destruct, Jump and Ship captured stats would not be shared among the group. Perhaps "Kills:" has a place, but "Killed:" makes no sense. I've gained a +2.5 on that stat due to being grouped while dying not a single time, and for some players these stats are their sole bastion of bragging rights. That beautiful KD ratio.

Similarly the planet collision is a measure of your navigational errors, and having it increase because others make mistakes is also a bit silly.

To me, I am just anal and like stats that normally aren't fractured to remain beautiful, rounded numbers. I'd much appreciate it if the developers could consider this, and imagine there are more people who are hesitant to group simply because they don't want their Killed: and planet collision: stat to increase because of the navigational errors of others.

a big ive seen on kluth is a pericer will dictor kluth along with everyone else. I tested this with other kluth at friendly worlds to make sure. I watched my jd turn on and off with the pericer as the dictor field goes on and off. Im not aware of this on any of the other factions but i would be intersted to know if this is just on kluuth or on icc and ugto

tried out the group thing.gained a whole 700 pres for like 3 hours of play.when I could have soloed and gained 1k or more.capped a ship and got a WHOPPING +0.2 on my stats for caps.With all that said,dont think I'll be grouping again.

Bug/

Bombing planets is not working. I bombed UGTO owned planet today (this morning) 36 mirvs in my ICC bomber destroyer with standard enh, on 1 target cortex nexus. All mirvs made it (I screen/cover/distract def base's) 36 mirvs caused 0% damage.

Tested again tonight 5 minutes ago, same planet same ship same cover all 36 enh mirvs made it, 0% damage. Tested on another planet to see if it was just that planet, this time K'luth planet all 36 mirvs made it again 0% damage.

Edit> Also recieved 0% pres and 0% planet bombing stats.
