I would suggest some of you (even with the high ends), have a look at your software setup instead of your hardware. The OP was able to solve his problem by upgrading his drivers (which were very old) and lowering some of the graphics settings.
Bare in mind that setting Graphics Detail to HIGH will result in LOD being disabled andis only recommended on extremely high-end machines. MEDIUM setting will return it to normal.
