going 15gu makes you end jump 800gu away now. Please set it back to what it was before you broke it.

If AI's die they die.

i agree i dont like those short jumps so like if im 1500 G.U away in a ead and i want to jump him so i can use my beams it only jumps like 400 so i end up wasting my jump and then when i do get attacked i cant jump b cause i just wasted my JD

If you want to do a perfect point jump, you will need to be moving at 0 OR move your target point farther back so you do get that good jump. This is how it was back then, and we all learned it well. So for you nubs, learn this old system, we vets had to.

I found a way to avoid it the SECOND it came out, in a dread at full speed you need to point jump 800 gu away from you target and you will be on top of them, i never figured it out for the others but just guess and you should be fine it just makes jumping require more skill.

No.

As everyone else said, just manually set your jump past your target.

This is how we did it before you got spoiled with the new system of "always jump 200gu from target".

Welcome to hard mode.

It doesn't stop the ai from crashing anyway. I routinely watch ai in scenario jump right into the planets they're headed to. Happens all the time.

There's never any ai in MV for me to watch so I don't know if they behave differently in there.

The AI jumping into planets/stars in scen could be because it's trying to jump somewhere with whatever it crashed into in the way.

No, it crashes right into the planet it was headed toward. Most recent example was earlier today when I was building Boonie I and trying to order Interceptor Frigates to come DEFEND the planet, and they'd not just jump to it, they'd jump into it, like if a player set his jump point past the planet but a little too far past.

Constructive attitude.
