what will happen if someone have all his (8 or the new 12) ships docked at one single sy, and this planet is currently under blockade ? do he have to delete one of his ship to spawn a new one (either at another sy, or scout/friig at gate), so he can play ?

Yup, thats the issue with that. its the old system coming back, you are locked to the planet you docked at, unless you logged out in deep space. You will have to spawn and move across the MV the old way.

How about zero cost if undocking from point of last dock, deep space logoff counting as being docked nowhere, but otherwise not locked?

yes but keep the old docking system so if you spawn at the same sy no res deduction another sy res deduction (cause of transportation)

This system worked well in 1.483. Remember that you can log off in your ship, to unlock it...

Just will not be able to SY hop anymore, which is a GOOD thing, trust me.

I would say you should do a mix.

No res to take out of the current shipyard, 25% cost to take it out of another shipyard.

what about transfer gates? when they die?

also im against this due to one of the main arguments for having res cost is the fact it is TRANSFERRED from one place to the next.

Also, in 483, in the map there werent more than 2 gates in each system except for Alpha Centauri and I belive luyten.

Now since theres a gate to every system from everysystem it only takes 2 jump gates to get across the entire map when in 483 it was like 7. Back then it actualy mattered, now it will just be a nusiance.
