Sparrows are no longer a huge complaint, thank you..

The ORDERS system is now back! this is awesome!

Flashing borders give a heads up, instead of a suprise death which we would have gotten before.

Several new interface options give a new feel to the game, I like it, though some re-learning has applied.

F3 works on enemy planets now, this is a great feature, that I wish was around long ago!

Ships slowly repair while docked, is a feature that I have wanted ever since I started playing, it makes sense, and is very useful for someone like me who doesnt like to stick around in orbit of a depot planet for an hour.

Smaller ships, starports, mining, factories, planetary eco-systems, have all been re-emphasized, bringing the diversity to the game we all really want.

Resources will now become the precious thing they are meant to be.

Thank you Palestar!

Launch a station cost 50k+ res. Spawn a new station cost 270k + res. So a terran only give at most a station, in at least 3 mins due to transport res time. It means: there will be no more station spam, even dread spam.

In most case a station won't jump a fri. Keep in mind that even a station jump above a fri but it still takes 1 second for the station to "see" the fri. The fri has enough time to shiftJ and J fast then restart spamming again. If I jump a fri, I'll have to wait 2:30 mins for JD and in that time, 3 dreads can jump and kill my station, or i'll be dictor and spam to death. Kill a fri give too small pres while lose many pres when a station destroyed so it's not worth jumping it.

You think so because you've never used the station, Gun.

Are you truly that upset about no longer being able to throw your entire garage full of stations at a faction anymore?

Baby Bear's porridge.

Some ppl want it all, including the kitchen sink. It's gotta be perfect.

Nerf your MF and Sparrows, and also have the ability to spam stations like there was no tomorrow.

If it ain't perfect, ragequit.

Sparrows aren't entirely useless now. Just can't do it by yourself.

The resource system is LONG OVERDUE - but the problem persists because you can still spawn ships from the gate. Reduce it so that you can only spawn stock ships (like transports, engineers, etc.) and then it will work as intended.

The ORDERS system is nice, but the fact that everyone can send orders can be problematic. I'd say it would be a great idea if only Command Dreadnaughts/Command Stations could send orders.

Otherwise, all the other features are fantastic. Keep up the good work.

Now that resources actually have a role, we can look at tweaking their production and storage at planets.

Here's an idea.

Every planet has 0 resource shown to every player. That number will stay 0 until you mine, then the number starts going up when you do.

Only you as the player can see this number and every one else has a different number of resources depending on how much they mined on a particular planet.

That way, people now mine for their own ships instead of having people leeching/ninjaing resources that they mined. Players simply won't bother or become mining bots.

I think it's a good shot at fairness, but it somehow needs to be optional. If it were like this, you couldn't cooperatively pool resources for one guy to get, say, a station, or an early cruiser.

Viewing enemy/neutral planets in F3 is nice.

Ent's suggestion about having orders only available to command ships is a good idea, it's already being abused by people to spam pointless orders around for S&G.

I like the idea behind the spawning ships takes resource system but I suspect it will mostly result in just a couple people depleting the resources by spawning Station/DN and rushing into battle then complaining how they died because they had no backup, then complaining how they can't spawn another one because there's no res left.

I think my favorite part of the update is being able to order troops on a planet. It's great for dispersing those mile high stacks when all the troops gather on one square making themselves ripe for neutron bombing.
