One thing that ive noticed a lot since I came back is people going into home servers and causing havoc usually without anyone knowing

So I suggest A faction lock to home servers until the faction has no systems in the contested server. It would be more logical and kinda of like back in .483 that it took awhile to get to the factions home planet and you would most likely be noticed before you got there.

This would also help against sabatage in home servers.

This hopefully will not be the case once all the servers are placed onto one map.

servers > lacerta > planets owned by faction

2 seconds to find out if youre under attack or not. also why UGTO telling us cass was being invaded was hilarious.

Lark, not everyone has the time to sit there and F5 every 3 seconds to see if their home planets are being attacked. Due to AI, it's also not entirely reliable. Try to keep these things in mind.

@OP, this will be negated when the servers become linked and we all see a single map.

Keep in mind that when Cassiopeia actually WAS attacked last week people showed up to stop it before too long. It really is all about occasionally looking at the serverlist when you switch ships, even if you're in another server you can still send a fleet message letting people know that your home system just jumped up a few places on the serverlist.

But honestly I see it as a good thing for factions to have planets in eachother's home systems, it gives newbies some actual combat experience in a place other than scenario where they aren't being rushed or ignored and can actually learn things from people who will take the time to explain it to them. The new faction elites are a nice bonus as well and sometimes have good enhancement drops.

RR is usually good for this too but lately there's hardly ever anyone there.

.....And to be totally honest, there were several neutral planets, one of them that hadn't even been colonized to begin with (yes, it had 0 pop and 1000 resources) and even one that Pirates had captured in Lacerta, along with several that had tech/pop shortages that were pushovers to take, so really we did UGTO a favor when we captured and rebuilt them.

And proceeded to scrap them to the stone age when you lost them so we can "mine with the fury of a thousand suns" and "build with the fury of a thousand suns"

I wasn't there for the battle that UGTO retook them so I can't say anything about that, but if it was me I wouldn't have thrown away pres by scrapping structures.

Kate, what do you think when all planets in home server are locked by CM?
I've never locked a planet in home server, cause I think it will need modified under different circumstances, by lower rank.

Besides, there must be a place for fresh players to practise. Learning from the mistakes is the best way to remember, right?
