Were you using enhancements? Were the UGTO scouts antisensor or long range maybe? Or just new players. I've taken on multiple UGTO scouts with my sensor corvette and won as well, but I'm certainly not the best pilot ever, nor is a stock sensor corvette overpowered. It's amazing the difference a few enhancements will make.

ICC scouts are far superior to UGTO scouts

ICC Sensor scout has owned since it became far more nimble,. has been like this for a while,. not invincible,. but far better than the ugto assault corvette,.
As for defence mode,. i don't/haven't noticed it. except in desync,. so ya it must be juuust right,. id say.
In senario i got energy drain on every ship that i turned defence mode on with,. If u don't run out of energy with defence mode on,. then ur not shooting enuf hah.

this is so true, but lets face it. ICC turns like a sports car while UGTO turns like a bus. but even a bus can be deadly

Too bad the bus can't collide into the sports car like in real life....

De-synchronisation is sometimes an issue. I've seen people blow up at 30% hull while using Defense Mode in combat, and for myself if I use it before making my get-away under heavy fire, shipyarding and getting out also displays a different hull value sometimes.

The energy drain isn't costly enough to dissuade me from using it in combat, but then so far I've only been in fights where I needed to hit the enemy for a short time and so it didn't matter if I lost all energy relatively quickly.

Of course, most advantageous against K'Luth: you can activate (or de-activate) it when they cloak to maintain energy at permissable levels and then change its mode when they uncloak to permit combat with better durability than before.

Regen seems about equal to three repair drones from a rather casual and passive observation so this isn't hard-tested data, but it seems fine so far.

De-Synchornisation is a big factor in ICC combat, i dont know if this is caused by using the Def. mode toggle during combat. Happen to me 4x now, been blown to bits at 50%-87% of Hull on my screen in those occasion.

Last time it happen i have 87% hull, when i blow up, but when i ask around my teamates after i respawn they says i have 25% then.

It never happen to me when i fly kluth, i get out of battle at single digit in Kluth station, as im getting the reading correctly. But not on ICC Ships., better check em, i don't believe it is in my connection, as it never happen when i fly luth ships..

edit note :

I was thinking i have 48% defense upgrade on the Station, it might be that my client is reading the enhancement correctly but NOT on the server side.. can someone check this please.

I like it alot.

One thing is you need a button for Defence Mode... for e.g. the # sign or \

Apart from that... I like it...

The uber-energy drain is annoying me even while not moving.
